Workshops

I don't teach group classes in the traditional sense, but I offer a series of unique workshops that weave together different elements of my work. These can be held in your space, as a private event, or at another practitioner's office, with a minimum group size of six participants.

In addition, I lead sessions in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and Trauma-Informed Weight Lifting at therapists' offices, as well as Rainbow Kids Yoga in community centres.

Unwinding the Nervous System, A Polyvagal-Informed Movement Workshop

Your nervous system is always working, scanning for safety, scanning for threat, often keeping you in a state of low-grade survival long after the actual stress has passed. This workshop offers a gentle introduction to Polyvagal Theory through the language of movement. We will explore what it feels like when your nervous system is in connection, protection, or shutdown, and how movement can help you shift states with curiosity rather than force. Using the slow, held postures of Yin Yoga to access deep connective tissue and the trauma-informed approach of Forrest Yoga to build embodied awareness, you will leave with practical tools to recognize and regulate your own nervous system. No experience needed. Just a willingness to notice.

Core Modalities:

  • Foundations of Polyvagal Informed Practice

  • Yin Yoga

  • Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga

The Body Keeps the Story, Compassionate Inquiry & Somatic Movement Workshop

What your body holds, your words do not always reach. This workshop weaves together the inquiry-based approach of Dr. Gabor Maté's Compassionate Inquiry with hands-on (but hands-off, you do the work) somatic movement. We begin with gentle guided inquiry: What sensations live in your body right now? Where do you feel tight, collapsed, or braced? From there, we use Yamuna Body Rolling to release the myofascial wrapping that holds old patterns in place, then move into Critical Alignment Yoga to help gravity restore your spine to its natural midline. Throughout, you will be invited to notice what shifts, not just physically but emotionally, as your body begins to let go of what it no longer needs to carry. No hands-on adjustments. No need to share anything you do not want to. Just a spacious, curious container.

Core Modalities:

  • Gabor Maté's Compassionate Inquiry

  • Yamuna Body Rolling

  • Critical Alignment Yoga & Therapy

Strength on Your Own Terms, Trauma-Informed Weight Lifting & STOTT PILATES

Strength training is often presented as loud, fast, and demanding. Push harder. Go heavier. No pain, no gain. But what if strength looked different? What if it meant feeling grounded in your own body rather than pushing past your limits? This workshop reimagines strength through a trauma-informed lens. Using STOTT PILATES to build foundational spinal stabilization and muscular balance, alongside the principles of Trauma Informed Weight Lifting, you will explore what it feels like to move with choice, not command. We will incorporate Polyvagal-informed check-ins to help you recognize when your nervous system feels safe enough to engage and when it needs to pull back. You will leave with a new understanding of strength, one that prioritizes connection over performance and sustainability over intensity.

Core Modalities:

  • Trauma Informed Weight Lifting

  • STOTT PILATES

  • Polyvagal Informed Practice

Workshop: Body Literacy & Self-Care Fusion

This unique workshop blends the foundational principles of my work with the hands-on, self-healing practice of Yamuna Body Rolling. Using specialized balls to manipulate the soft tissue, participants learn to unlock tension, increase mobility, and cultivate a deeper conversation with their own bodies. This session weaves together trauma-sensitive awareness with the precision of body rolling, creating a practice that is both therapeutic and empowering.
